Carnival Freedom is a Conquest-class Fun Ship that entered service in 2007,
christened by godmother Kathie Lee Gifford. At around 110,000 gross tons she carries
roughly 2,980 guests at double occupancy (more when every berth is full), served by
about 1,150 crew across her 13 passenger decks — a big, lively, mid-size Carnival ship
built for casual, value-focused cruising.
Sailing from Norfolk (2027)
Carnival Freedom is set to sail seasonally from Norfolk, Virginia, bringing warm-weather
Bahamas itineraries to the mid-Atlantic — including stops at Carnival's private
Celebration Key, plus Nassau and Bimini. Sailing from Norfolk means an easy,
drive-to homeport for guests across Virginia and the Carolinas, with no flight required.
If you're aboard one of her first departures from Norfolk, expect a little extra fanfare —
new seasonal deployments and inaugural sailings often come with dockside send-offs and a few
